About the 5K Run/Walk

The Eau Claire 5K Run/Walk begins in beautiful Carson Park. It shares the same finish as the longer races and will be chip timed for accurate results. There is no age minimum for this race.

An awards ceremony will be held in Carson Park following the race. View last year's results.

Registration and Fees

Registration is closed for this year and opens in September 13th for the next year's race.

All entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and not applicable to next year's race.

Rules of the Race

Strollers are allowed on the 5K Run/Walk. Runners of any age may participate the Eau Claire 5K Run and Walk.

Headphones are allowed during the race in accordance to rule changes by the USTAF. Participants who choose to wear headphones are expected to be aware of the changing road/race conditions as well as fellow runners.

Any runner who is felt to be posing a safety concern to other runners or themselves may be removed from the race at the discretion of the Race Directors.

Pets and roller blades are prohibited on the course. Non-race participants will not be allowed in the runner's finish area.

Course Information

The 5K Run/Walk begins at 9:30 AM in Carson Park. The Eau Claire Marathon courses are officially certified and chip-timed for accuracy. The finish line officially closes at 1:30 PM (4 hours) Medals will be given to all runners finishing before the clock runs out of time.

Tents will be set up within Carson Park for first aid, post-race refreshments, and massage areas. Water, GU stations, portable lavatories, and race route markers will be available along the course. View the 5K course map for specific tent locations.
