Shuttles will run continuously from 6:15 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to and from Parking Lots #2, and #3. There will not be a shuttle stopping at Parking Lot #1.

Everyone should be reminded to expect delays when traveling through the city that day. They should leave early and have an alternative route planned. The Marathon brings 20-25 thousand people to Eau Claire for the Sunday event.
Are there restrooms on the marathon route?
Portable lavatories are located in Carson Park and approximately every two miles along routes. We will also be utilizing permanent city park lavatories where they are available.
Are there water and energy gel stations on the marathon and half marathon routes?
Water and electrolyte drink stations to be located approximately every two miles along both half and full marathon courses. Lemon Lime Gatorade will be the flavor. Thanks to Indianhead Insurance for donating.
Energy gel will be handed out at two locations along the courses near water stations. Scheels of Eau Claire is donating and handing out 7 flavors of GU. Check their Facebook Page for this years flavors.

How can I identify Eau Claire Marathon staff?
The Eau Claire Marathon staff will wear highly visible shirts, vests, and jackets. All areas staffed by volunteers will have a responsible adult with a cell phone or radio to contact emergency personnel at all times.
Are there vendors at the Eau Claire marathon?

Are there first aid stations on the marathon route?
First aid stations will be clearly marked along the course. There are six first aid stations located along the routes. If you are interested in helping out at one of the First aid stations, please contact us at email@example.com.
Is there entertainment? How can my group perform at the marathon?
Local school bands and other musical groups are always welcome to play for the runners. If your group is interested in providing entertainment for the marathon, please email in advance us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Am I able to transfer my registration to another person?
Races changes and transfers will be available until March 31st, 2018. Race changes (upgrades and downgrades) will be charged $10, plus the price difference for upgrades. Transfers will be charged $15 for same-distance transfers (marathon to marathon, half marathon to half marathon, or 5k to 5k.)
Does the Eau Claire Marathon need volunteers?
Do we ever! Numerous volunteers will help with race activities within Carson Park and along the course. Learn more about the volunteer positions available.
Are there police officers at busy intersections?
We thank the Eau Claire Police Department for helping keep our marathon runners safe. The Eau Claire Police Department will be located where the courses cross busy intersections. The police will determine appropriate spots.
Where should I go once I get to Carson Park?
When you get to the park, drop your items off at the gear check station located between the start and finish lines, then make your way to the start line.
Is the Eau Claire Marathon a Boston qualifier?
Yes, the Eau Claire Marathon route is certified and an official Boston Marathon qualifier. Since 2014, over 250 runners have qualified for the Boston Marathon!
Are showers available after the race?
YES, Showers after the race will be available at the McPhee Center on the Upper Campus of UWEC. 509 University Dr. Eau Claire, WI 54701. Turn North off of Clairemont Avenue/Highway 12 onto University Drive. Bring a towel and your race bib to use their facilities on Sunday afternoon.
