We're excited to announce the beneficiaries of the 2027 Eau Claire Marathon 10K Charity Classic presented by Royal Credit Union!
Congratulations to NAMI Chippewa Valley, NorthLakes Community Clinic, and Trinity EC. These incredible organizations are dedicated to supporting mental health and improving the lives of individuals and families throughout the Chippewa Valley.
Through the RCU Foundation, a total of $15,000 will be awarded to these organizations, with race participants helping determine how the funds are distributed through community voting.

The Eau Claire Marathon is proud to announce Royal Credit Union as title sponsor of the Eau Claire Marathon race weekend.
In addition, the Charity Classic 10K race previously featured at the RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront event has transitioned to the Eau Claire Marathon weekend of events and will be called the Eau Claire Marathon Charity Classic 10K presented by Royal Credit Union. The RCU Foundation has pledged $15,000 to area non-profit organizations which will be selected on a rotating annual basis to benefit from the event.
By combining our 10K events, we’ll highlight RCU’s long standing commitment to charity, enabling us to give back more than ever before. This collaboration will also showcase the best of Eau Claire, benefiting both the city and our vibrant community.

Overall and age group awards will be presented by Market & Johnson. Awards are given to the overall winner (male, female, and non-binary) along with the top three finishers (male and female) in each age group.
There is not a formal awards ceremony, if you think you won an award, check in with the awards area.

Race changes (upgrade or downgrade) will be charged $10 plus the price difference for upgrades. Race changes will not be accepted after April 15th.
Deferrals to the following year will be charged $25 for same, single distance event (ex: marathon to marathon) or $50 for a same, multiple distance event and/or team events (ex: challenges and relay events). Requests to defer after April 15thwill be processed with additional service fees. All fees are subject to processing charges and tax. Deferrals must be redeemed for the following year by 12/31.
Participant to participant transfers are not allowed.

Strollers are allowed on the 10K. Runners of any age may participate in the Eau Claire 10K.
No unofficial pacers or bikers are allowed on course, anyone running must be a registered participant.
Headphones during the race are allowed in accordance to rule changes by the USTAF. Participants who choose to wear headphones are expected to be aware of the changing road/race conditions as well as fellow runners.
Handheld water bottles & hydration vests are allowed.
Any runner who is felt to be posing a safety concern to other runners or themselves may be removed from the race at the discretion of the Race Directors.
Pets and roller blades are prohibited on the course. Non-race participants will not be allowed in the runner's finish area.
