My first experience with the Eau Claire Marathon was in 2017, and it sparked a lasting connection with the community I grew up in. I was deeply moved by the way participants, volunteers, and spectators supported one another—ensuring no one was left behind. That sense of respect and inclusivity left a strong impression on me. In the years since, I’ve chosen to volunteer as a way to give back to the running community that offered me encouragement and belonging when I needed it most.
