FINISH LINE & POST RACE MUST-DO’S
The words we all look forward to, WELCOME HOME, RUNNERS! After the Blugold Mile, runners will cross the UWEC footbridge, run past Owen Park, cross the Lake Street bridge, turn left onto Graham Ave and see the FINISH. In 2021, we moved our finish line into the heart of downtown and loved the urban feel where old downtown meets new downtown in front of the Pablo Center at the Confluence and Haymarket Landing.
After runners make their way through the racer-only finishing area, you can join the Barstow Block Party, celebrate in the beer tent, or find something to eat/drink in one of the many fun restaurants in downtown EC. See below for more information on post-race events.
HEAT SHEET
You will be given a heat sheet right when you cross the finish line to protect runners from almost any inclement weather conditions, reflecting up to 90 percent of a runner’s body heat back to him/her on cold days, or (when flipped over) deflecting heat away from the body on hot days. Heatsheets are also wind and water resistant.
